Plans and prices
Your price depends on two separate choices: what Whence does for you (See, Connect or Decide) and how many visits a month it records (from 5,000 to 250,000). A small store with real analysis needs does not have to buy volume it will never use. A visit is one person’s visit to your store; pages within that visit do not count extra.
Monthly prices
All prices are in US dollars, per month.

The Free plan costs $0: 500 visits a month, 30 days of history, 1 store and 1 person, with no AI and no ad platform connections. No card is needed.
Yearly prices
Paying yearly costs twelve months minus 20 percent. Taxes, if any, are added at checkout.

Stores and people do not change with volume: See covers 1 store and 3 people, Connect 3 stores and 10 people, Decide 25 stores and 50 people. There is no per-seat charge. Need more? Choose or change your plan
Step 1: Open Plan
Open Plan. At the top, Your plan (1) shows your plan and volume, with its renewal date and history. Visits this month (2) shows the visits used against your limit; the count resets on the 1st.
Step 2: Pick the billing period and the volume
Below, choose Monthly or Annual · −20% (1), then the number of Visits a month (2). The three cards update their prices. Each card lists what the plan includes, its history, its stores and people, and its AI requests. Click Start Connect free (3), or the button of the plan you want. On a running plan, the button reads Switch to ….
Step 3: Check the yearly amount
With Annual · −20% selected (1), each card shows the monthly equivalent, and the line under the price gives the amount billed once a year (2), for example “$758.40 billed yearly”.
Step 4: Or stay on Free
The Free plan sits under the three cards. Click Use Free (1) to take it, with no card.
While a paid plan is running, Use Free opens the cancel confirmation instead. See Cancel or close your account.
When you reach your visit limit
At 80 percent of the month’s visits, the Home and Plan screens show a banner: “80% of this month’s visits used”. At 100 percent, new visits stop being recorded until the 1st, or until you move up a plan. You are never billed for extra visits, and everything already recorded stays available.
Who bills you
Whence has one billing provider per account:
- Shopify bills you if you subscribed from the Whence app in your Shopify admin. The charge appears on your Shopify invoice (“Billed by Shopify on your store invoice.”), and every change is approved with Approve in Shopify. Manage your plan in the Whence app in your Shopify admin, under Plan.
- Stripe bills your card if you subscribed from the web app. On Plan, click Start See free (or Connect, or Decide) the first time, or Switch to … later. Manage payment opens the Stripe billing portal for your card and invoices. When you change plans, Stripe works out the difference for the days left.
If your plan is paid by card and you open the Shopify app, it shows Move billing to Shopify and Keep paying by card. If you move, your card subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for and is then canceled automatically; Shopify starts charging only after that date, so you are never billed twice. The other way round, card payment becomes available once the Shopify subscription is canceled.
Prices can change for new subscriptions. A subscriber keeps the price they signed up at for as long as they stay on the same plan.
